Embark on an unforgettable 9 Day | 8 Night Gibbon Experience Adventure through the heart of Laos, combining thrilling jungle exploration, scenic Mekong journeys, and authentic wildlife encounters.
This carefully designed itinerary takes you from the peaceful capital of Vientiane to the remote forests of Bokeo, the riverside charm of Pakbeng, and the UNESCO heritage beauty of Luang Prabang.
Your journey begins in Vientiane, where you can relax along the Mekong River and experience the laid back atmosphere of Laos’ capital city. After exploring the city’s highlights, we fly north to Bokeo Province, one of the country’s most untouched and least populated regions. Surrounded by dense jungle and dramatic mountain landscapes, Bokeo is home to the world famous Gibbon Experience, an award winning ecotourism project focused on forest conservation and sustainable community development.
The highlight of this adventure awaits as you enter the rainforest canopy for the extraordinary Rooftop Cabin Gibbon Experience.Trek through pristine jungle trails and soar above the treetops on exhilarating ziplines stretching across deep valleys and lush rainforest.
We spend two unforgettable nights in spectacular treetop cabins suspended 30 to 40 meters above the forest floor, being the highest treehouses in the world.
Accessible only by zipline, these unique eco lodges offer breathtaking panoramic views over the jungle canopy and an incredible opportunity to disconnect from modern life. We wake up to the sounds of nature and, if lucky, hear the haunting songs of wild gibbons echoing through the forest at sunrise.
After our jungle adventure, we continue by a scenic Mekong River cruise in a traditional longboat to Pakbeng, a peaceful riverside village nestled between forested hills. We watch daily life unfold along the riverbanks as we travel downstream through some of Laos’ most picturesque landscapes.
The journey then continues to Luang Prabang, the spiritual and cultural heart of Laos. Along the way, we visit the sacred Pak Ou Caves filled with thousands of Buddha statues.
In Luang Prabang, we discover ancient temples, traditional handicraft villages, colorful night markets, and the beauty of Kuang Si Waterfall. We participate in a traditional Baci Ceremony and enjoy authentic Lao music and Lam Vong dancing.
