Cycle beyond Luang Prabang on an eco friendly mountain bike tour to quiet Chomphet villages. Cross the Mekong by ferry, meet local artisans, shape your own clay pot, visit ancient temples, feed elephants, enjoy jungle scenery, and experience authentic village life away from crowds.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION:

Meet your guide at your hotel lobby for a short transfer to the bike shop. After a safety briefing and bike fitting, begin cycling toward the Mekong River.


Morning
Board a local car ferry to cross the Mekong River to the peaceful district of Chomphet, an area rarely visited by tourists and with very little traffic. Cycle through quiet countryside and traditional villages, experiencing authentic local life. Visit Khmu village, interact with local students, and donate rattan balls to support community activities.

Continue cycling to visit ancient temples, including Wat Chomphet and Wat Long Khoun, offering beautiful panoramic views over Luang Prabang and the Mekong River from the opposite riverbank.


Midday
Cycle onward through lush scenery to Green Jungle Park, passing waterfalls and an elephant camp along the way. Enjoy a relaxing lunch surrounded by nature.


Afternoon
Ride toward Ban Chan Pottery Village, once famous for producing pottery for the Royal Family. Participate in a hands on pottery workshop where you will create your own clay pot and learn traditional techniques passed down through generations. Take time to explore the village and learn about daily life from local artisans.


Late Afternoon
Cycle back toward Luang Prabang, enjoying scenic countryside routes before returning to the city.
