Duration: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM (approximately 7 hours)
Your day begins with hotel pickup by tuk tuk at 8:30 AM, followed by a transfer to our office to prepare and fit your mountain bike before starting the tour.
We set off on a full day cycling exploration of UNESCO listed Luang Prabang. The first stop is an ethical elephant village sanctuary, where your local guide will introduce you to the role of a mahout (kuanxang) and explain elephant communication and care. You will meet the resident elephants, including young calves, and learn about conservation efforts.
After the sanctuary visit, we’ll enjoy lunch at a riverside Nam Khan restaurant.
In the afternoon, we continue cycling to Phanom Village, home to the Tai Lue community, where you will discover traditional weaving techniques and local handicrafts.
The ride then continues through the historic city center and peninsula, with scenic stops at the confluence of the Nam Khan and Mekong Rivers.
You will also visit Luang Prabang’s most iconic landmarks, including Wat Xieng Thong Temple and the Royal Palace Museum.
